Privacy Policy
The short version
Internalize collects the minimum needed to work: your Apple sign-in (to keep your library private to you) and the PDFs you choose to import (to build your explainers). No ads, no analytics SDKs, no tracking, no selling or sharing of your data. You can delete your account and all of your data from inside the app at any time.
What we collect
- Apple ID sign-in. When you sign in with Apple we receive a private identifier, and your name/email only if you choose to share them. This exists solely so your imported papers belong to your account.
- Documents you import. PDFs you upload are stored encrypted in transit (HTTPS) in a private, per-account area on Amazon Web Services (US). They are visible only to your account — never to other users.
- Push token. If you allow notifications, we use your device token for exactly one thing: telling you your explainer is ready.
How documents are processed
To generate explanations, the content of your imported document is processed by our pipeline with the help of AI service providers (OpenAI's API). Under OpenAI's API terms, API content is not used to train their models. Processed results are stored only in your private account area.
What we don't do
- No third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
- No sale, rental, or sharing of personal data.
- No access to your documents by other users.
Deleting your data
In the app: Delete Account (under the import section when signed in) permanently removes your account and every document and explainer stored for it. This is irreversible.
